ObEN Launches “Little E” Virtual Analyst Avatar for Huachuang Securities

Leading AI company tapped by major securities firm to bring Personal AI customer service avatar to life

PASADENA, Calif., June 12, 2019 – ObEN, the artificial intelligence (AI) company creating Personal AI (PAI) technology to revolutionize digital interaction, has partnered with Huachuang Securities, one of six major securities firms in China, to provide the technology behind a new virtual avatar financial analyst known as “Little E”.

ObEN and Huachuang debuted the virtual analyst at the 2019 Big Data Expo, demonstrating the integration of machine learning, AI, big data, and industry knowledge within the Little E avatar. ObEN’s technology is highly adaptable and flexible, capable of generating 3D smart avatars based on real humans, or designed as purely fictitious characters, using just a few pieces of voice and image data. Little E’s voice, appearance, and movement are all driven by ObEN’s full-stack Personal AI (PAI) technology. Previously ObEN has worked with celebrity clients for China’s CCTV, Korea’s SM Entertainment, and Medstar Research Institute to create PAI avatars for entertainment, content, and healthcare related use cases.

Huachang provided the “brain” for Little E via its existing chatbot system, which ObEN then integrated with its own AI-driven avatar technology. This enabled Little E to actually speak to customers, communicating with them just like a human associate would do in-person, providing them with market information as well as policy and industry updates. Little E’s voice and facial expression, as well as his body animation, were all generated using ObEN’s proprietary Personal AI technology, providing a highly realistic, interactive and fully automated digital experience.

ObEN’s PAI technology not only allows industries to integrate smart avatars into their own existing infrastructure, it also allows rapid global deployment and easy scalability. Using voice conversion, ObEN’s avatars can speak multiple languages, even when created with voice data of a speaker in a single language. In addition, ObEN is also developing technology that requires little or minimal data collection from clients, instead relying on existing images and videos which, when used with permission, can allow the company to extract the data needed to create a client’s personalized PAI. This allows enterprises to take advantage of virtual influencers and avatars with relatively low on-boarding and operational costs.

“Virtual assistants are becoming an increasing invaluable customer service tool from top companies – providing a reliable, efficient, and always available source of information and assistance,” said ObEN CEO, Nikhil Jain. “Our technology not only allows companies to create virtual assistants that simulate the experience of interacting with a real person, it also allows companies to essentially build their own virtual ambassadors and influencers to highlight their expertise and forge a closer connection with consumers. As 5G provides better data access and the ability to run more complex software faster than ever, virtual assistants will become an indispensable part of any business.”

Virtual assistants and influencers have seen widespread use across numerous industries, from hospitality, retail, finance, entertainment, and more. Today’s consumers have come to expect real time, 24/7 service while companies search for new ways to engage with their customers. According to Zion Market Research, the global smart virtual assistant market will reach $19.6 billion in 2025, with an average annual growth rate of 35.4% from 2019 to 2025.

After the successful demonstration at the 2019 Big Data Expo, ObEN and Huachuang will continue to develop the Little E chatbot, and are in discussions to create more personalized PAI assistants based on Huachuang staff and executives. In addition, Little E has also been invited to demonstrate his knowledge at the Chengdu International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Expo as well as MWC Shanghai later this summer.
