Team ObEN attended the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 in Las Vegas. If you tuned into the buzz around CES this year – both leading up to the event and following – Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) stole the show, and ObEN was proud to be part of the excitement by giving CES attendees an early look of our latest Artificial Intelligence-based speech, VR and AR technologies.
ObEN’s personalized avatar AR demo with TCL
For the second year in a row, we partnered with TCL, a China-based multinational electronic company. ObEN shared their booth to demonstrate our aligned vision to bring loved ones together through technology. TCL unveiled its newest version of Xess, a ‘Big Pad’ featuring a 17.3” screen, integrated with ObEN’s AR tech. CES attendees were transported into the music world as virtual rock stars. This was achieved with ObEN’s artificial intelligence tech in two simple steps: taking a selfie and providing a short voice recording via Xess. Many were left in awe witnessing their realistic and personalized avatar singing perfectly in an AR/VR world.
ObEN at Wunderman and memBrain’s Collision event
Ken Hertz, an ObEN advisor and Founding Partner of memBrain, co-hosted ‘Collision’ with creatively driven digital agency Wunderman. Four panel discussions on the future of technology featuring leaders in entertainment, tech and marketing including Billie Whitehouse from Wearable Experiments, Renee Niemi from Logitech, Josh Rubin from Cool Hunting and more. We were selected to be one of four companies demonstrating futuristic technologies.
Apart from our packed meeting schedule and all the work we had on our plates (and trust us, it’s a lot of work!), we still found a little time to enjoy Las Vegas and each other. One of the events Team ObEN attended was the GGV Capital and Fenwick party at the Skyfall Lounge at Mandalay Bay where we mingled with other CES attendees, investors and entrepreneurs.
