COMPUTER VISION RESEARCH ENGINEER

The Computer Vision team aims to reconstruct 3D virtual avatars that look and move just like you with as few as a single selfie as input. As a Research Engineer of the Computer Vision team, you will be closely working with researcher scientists, back-end engineers and front-end engineers to transform and deploy research prototypes into production. We value engineers who are self-motivated and enjoy a highly collaborative environment with minimal supervision.
- Develop impactful and innovative computer vision technologies
- Work closely with research scientists to deeply understand the developed research prototypes and transform them into production
- Work closely with front-end and back-end engineers for production integration
- Evaluate the technical trade-offs of every decision
- Write production code that will be used by millions of users
- Introduce major innovations that can lead to novel product features
- Keep current with latest trends and technologies to help future research subjects and anticipate development needs
- M.S. in Computer Science with project experience in the fields of Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, or Machine Learning; B.S. in the same field with 3 years+ working experience in the industry
- Outstanding programming skills in C++ and/or C#
- Comfortable with programming in Python and/or MATLAB
- Strong algorithmic and code-level optimization skills
- An understanding of 3D multiview geometry, bundle adjustment, and SLAM/visual odometry
- General understanding of computer vision, especially 3D reconstruction from camera images and depth sensors
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of applying machine learning and deep learning to real problems in the fields of vision and graphics
- Ability to quickly adapt to new situations and to learn new technologies
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a multicultural team
- Ph.D. in Computer Science with project experience in the fields of Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, or Machine Learning
- Experience in 3D face and/or 3D body modeling from images
- Projects experience involving any type of facial image processing and analysis
- Knowledge of geometry and topology concepts, representations and data structures, such as splines, level sets, surface and volumetric meshes, point clouds, analytical surfaces/solids, functional representations, subdivision surfaces, T-splines, etc.
- Unity3D development experience
- VR/AR related development experience
